SMK St. Joseph emerged champion in the Junior Category of RHB-The Star Mighty Minds State Challenge 2015. St. Joseph entered 5 teams in both the Senior and Junior categories which were led by teacher-in-charge Madam Chua Huey Jiuan and Madam Masrifah Binti Sanusi.
The Competition challenged students on their knowledge of current events, the ability to build an innovative model based on a theme and their creativity. Their oratory skills were put to test on April 11, 2015 at Merdeka Plaza.
The winning team from SMK St. Joseph was represented by IRVINE ETHAN NIXON, JACX CHAN KEN YEW and JOSHUA JONG SHAN HO of form 3A. The 3 boys will be representing Sarawak in the National Challenge to be held in Kuala Lumpur this coming October. They walk away with RM 5,000.00 cash prize and a projector.
