There are so many reasons to celebrate 131 years of excellence at St. Joseph`s Middle School (Kuching), and the SJS Band encapsulates it in a nutshell – competitive success, absolute teamwork, unwavering standards of excellence, high-flying spirit, outreach to the community, and a relentless desire to innovate and push the envelope of progress. On Saturday, December 15 (7:30 pm at the Trinity Methodist Church), the SJS Band celebrates in its unique way at its third annual fundraising concert,on the heels of its first-place return from the German Open Championships.
In this concert, each section of the band gets its featured moments in the sun, including band staff appearing as soloists. Highlighting the program will be special guest percussion trio, BAM!, an international ensemble with a flair for the dramatic, hailing from China, Singapore, and Vietnam.
Join us for this festive evening of achievement, tradition, and the arts. When you see and hear how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together, you`ll have a greater understanding of just what 131 years of working in harmony can produce. A celebration in concert, indeed!
